About us

The main objective of the IRP CNRS MLNS2 is twofold: first, to provide a formal framework for cooperation, and second, to strengthen existing collaborations. Within this framework, the consortium focuses on Systems, Network, ML and Cybersecurity. The expected outcomes are significant, both scientifically and industrially.
On the scientific side, our goal is to bridge the gap between these four domains of expertise in order to propose integrated approaches to the two identified challenges. This synergy should lead to several publications in leading international conferences across the relevant fields.
On the industrial side, the solutions developed (algorithms and software) will result in patents or commercial products. For example, a system for detecting telephone call fraud would meet an urgent need in African markets, where no such tool currently exists. Telecommunications operators, such as CAMTEL, have already been identified as partners.

The establishment of such an IRP is of strategic importance. It will create a major center of expertise in systems, distributed systems, and security—domains that are currently underdeveloped in Cameroon, where research has traditionally been more theoretical. The IRP will also help to bring together local researchers, who are currently working in isolation, into a clearly identified international team.
